Author Talk and Book Signing May 23rd

Join us Saturday, May 23rd, at 1PM for an author talk and book signing with local author Leslie Wheeler, who will read from and discuss her new book “Wildcat Academy.” Books will be available to purchase.

Game Night June 3rd

Game night is every first Wednesday of the month from 7PM-9PM. Games are provided, but you are welcome to bring your favorite games from home to play. Come to play your favorite classics with friends or to learn a new game. There will be snacks, refreshments, and a lively atmosphere!

Art Exhibit Opening Reception June 6th

June’s Library Art Exhibit will feature work by Celia Kahn. Celia Kahn is a mixed media collagist who uses disparate images in the form of color, texture, and shape to reveal the illusions that are manifested in the mind and the outside world. Opening reception Saturday June 6th from 4PM - 5:30PM.

Tree ID Walk with Chelsey Simmons June 20th

Chelsey Simmons of the Berkshire Environmental Action Team will be leading a Tree ID Walk on Saturday June 20th from 10AM - 12PM at Steepletop Reserve. This two-hour walk will focus on identifying trees using twigs, bark, flowers, and overall form. You’ll learn practical tips and tricks for recognizing tree species year-round, even when leaves aren’t present. This event is limited to 10 people. The Past and Future of LGBTQ+ Rights June 27th

Join the Library on June 27th at 1:30PM for a discussion on LGBTQ+ rights and the law with Carlos A. Ball, Distinguished Professor of Law, Rutgers Law School. Copies of his book “Advanced Introduction to LGBTQ+ Rights” will be available to purchase for $10. This program is sponsored by the New Marlborough Friends of the Library.

One Town, One Read June 27th

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure! The Meeting House presents One Town, One Read, an afternoon devoted to shared reading and discussion. Saturday June 27th at 4:30PM at The New Marlborough Meeting House. This year’s program focuses on Daniel Mason’s bestselling novel “North Woods”, set in this corner of New England. The discussion will be led by historians and authors John Demos and Karen Merrill, with Alice Fahs moderating. Read the book and join the conversation. Books are available to borrow from the Library. Co-sponsored by Friends of the New Marlborough Library and the Bidwell House Museum. Pre-register for this free event here.
