Genealogy

The town of New Marlborough is a small rural community comprised of five villages: Southfield, Mill River, Hartsville, Clayton and New Marlborough village. Each village is distinct from the others, each with its own history and individual flavor. The library sits in the center of the village of Mill River. New Marlborough is located in Berkshire County, in the southwest corner of the Commonwealth. The town has a population of 1300 people and covers 47.85 square miles and has 89 miles of roads.

The library no longer houses the genealogical records for the town of New Marlborough. Instead, you can access them through the New Marlborough Town Hall. Contact the town clerk’s office at:
